More wedding content!!! This small bachelorette getaway was for one of my best friends. She unfortunately was a full blown covid bride and this bach was originally planned for Spring 2020 and just like the wedding, was ultimately postponed. But when she decided to bring it to Chicago, I couldn’t have been happier to host my girlfriends in my city! I’m an event planner so naturally, this was actually fun for me, but I know how overwhelming planning can be, so as always, I’m here for you!

Planning
Destination – The biggest piece, figure out where the bride wants to go! There are so many things to consider – cost is a huge one. You want to make sure you’re considerate of your bridal party/friends (imo).
Guest List – I’ve seen this done so many ways: just the bridal party, bridal party + close friends or bridal party, close friends + family. All are right and do whatever is best for you!
Theme – if you don’t have a clear idea of a theme or you need a little inspo – Stag & Hen has décor broken out by theme! Think: Bach & Boujee, Beach Theme, Final Fiesta, etc.
Itinerary – Think of what you want the weekend to look like and write it out so that guests can plan outfits, have an estimate for cost, etc.
Weekend Itinerary
Friday
11AM – The girls land at the airport and I met them there and secretly arranged for a limo to pick us up! Rachel was extremely surprised as I pretended I was waiting for a Lyft!! I had drinks ready to go and it definitely kick started the weekend 🙂
12PM – Back to the decorated apartment for more drinks and to get ready for lunch!
2PM – Lunch at Beatnik on the River – such a cute brunch spot, the interior is amazing and it’s right on the river so it has great views. If you’re making a reservation here – make sure to ask to be seated on the water!
5PM – Return to my apartment to play games and get ready for the night
8PM – Dinner at Nobu – we started off with dinner on the first floor of the restaurant then headed up to the rooftop for drinks afterwards

Saturday
10AM – I booked blowouts for the girls at Drybar, this was a fun way to start the morning and a way to pamper our bride 🙂
12PM – Brunch at Recess in the West Loop. Mimosas are Rachel’s love language so I knew we had to do a bottomless brunch and this place did not disappoint. $23 bottomless is a pretty good deal for Chicago and the indoor/outdoor vibes of this spot can’t be beat
3PM – Back to the apartment for games!
7PM – Dinner at Happy Camper – one of my favorite spots in Chicago just for a chill, fun night. They always have good music and who doesn’t love pizza?
9PM – In a normal world we would go out and bar hop, but obviously with Covid that’s not possible so we made more reservations in River West for drinks for the rest of the night!

Décor
We wanted to go for a “champagne” theme so all décor was gold/white with a few accent colors

- Champagne Balloon Garland
- Champagne glasses for champagne tower
- Foil fringe for backdrop
- Gold confetti
- Cocktail napkins with quotes
- Acrylic champagne bucket
- Balloons to scatter around backdrop/throughout the room
- Bach & Boujee Balloon Letters
- Glass Champagne Flutes
- Cupcake Toppers with Jordan’s face 🙂
Love it. Such a beautiful apartment as well!
