Online Bikini Shops (& More)

Hi, I’ve been MIA. The weather in Michigan lately makes me want to curl up in a ball and do nothing. BUT, I’m going to Florida and nothing puts me in a better mood than summer weather. Even if it’s only a little taste of it. Bikinis are something that I’ve grown to love so much as I’ve gotten older. I’ve had my fair share of Victoria’s Secret bathing suits (RIP), Target, H&M, etc. But let me tell you, once I splurged on an adorable Vitamin A bikini from Everything But Water, I never looked back. The fit of the bathing suit was so much better than the twenty other cheap ones I purchased before it. It didn’t dig into my hips, or cut into my butt (TMI sorry), it just fit so much better. I’m not saying you have to spend $200 on every bathing suit, if you watch these sites closely, you can get away with steals, but if you’re looking to treat yo self, start with a bikini.

Along with my fav online bathing suit shops, I’m going to show you some of my favorite sunglasses and what you need for summer! Along with some cute accessories to add to your bathing suits.

Enjoy

xx

Montce Swim (Instagram @montce_swim)

This is my absolute favorite swim suit site. They do have boutiques where you can shop in person if you’re lucky enough to live in Florida, California or any of the other places listed on their website. I stumbled upon their Instagram a few years ago and I immediately fell in love. They are a little pricey, but they always have a huge sale section, I’ve gotten a $135 bikini for $55 before. All of the styles are repeated but they have endless amounts of prints and patterns and colors to choose from. They’re definitely growing and more people are realizing how awesome these bathing suits are, celebrities like Kendall Jenner & Olivia Culpo are scooping these up. If you don’t like very cheeky bottoms, shop with caution. They do, however, have additional coverage options, but that is the green bottoms below on Kendall. They also are a boutique and the sizes run very small. I’m usually a medium in bathing suit bottoms (27/28 in jeans) and wear a large in the bottoms. You need these bikinis. If you don’t trust me, trust Olivia.

L*Space (Instagram @lspaceswim)

You probably are familiar with L*Space and that’s because it’s amazing. If you don’t know about this brand, now you do and you’re welcome. I recently purchased a pretty white/tan/orange L*Space swim suit that I just posted on my Instagram. The bottoms are reversible which is awesome and the top is super simple and sleek. If you don’t want to order online, this brand is sold at Everything But Water and Nordstrom. There is also a store locator on their website so you can find somewhere near you 🙂

Beach Bunny Swimwear (Instagram @beachbunnyswimwear)

These bikinis are the colorful, playful, fun swim suits that everyone wants. They’re also approximately $200+ per suit. However, sign up for their mailing list to get notified of flash sales, they sometimes have insanely low prices pieces, you just have to be patient.

Nordstrom

I love Nordstrom for obvious reasons. But one of the main reasons, is that there is something for everyone. There are high end bikinis and ones that are more affordable. Another great perk about this retailer is shipping is free. So you can order all the bathing suits you want, try them on at home and simply return the ones you don’t want in store. There is no need to ship the items back. Obviously you can if you don’t have a Nordstrom near you, however, I always find returning in store more convenient.

Zaful/Cupshe

I’ve ordered from Zaful once before, never from Cupshe, but I’m going to take a wild guess that they are very very similar from research I’ve done on my own. I bought two bikinis and a cover up from Zaful. It took a little while to get shipped to my house and I couldn’t really track the order, it would always error out. When the items did finally come, they were too small and did not fit right at all. They were only $12 each, so I honestly wasn’t that surprised. You will get what you pay for, if you’re curious like me, give it a try. Keep an open mind and you may stumble upon something awesome here, but don’t be upset when the bathing suit you paid $8 for, comes cheaply made.

Summer Accessories

One of my favorite accessories to add to my swimsuits are body chains. They sit right below your waist and I think they are so cute. Body jewelry can be really expensive so last year before my trip to Miami I knew I wanted a chain, but I didn’t really want to pay that much for one since I probably wouldn’t wear it very often. I started going to Forever 21 and getting long necklaces and taking off parts of them I didn’t necessarily like such as hanging pieces or rhinestones, and instead of putting it around my neck, I clipped it around my waist, shown below. You want it to sit loose, so it’s okay if it’s not snug around your body you don’t want it to dig into your stomach.

Sunglasses

The small frames are very on trend right now. I do love them and I wish I liked them better on my face. I always opt for my Ray Ban aviators, they’re classic and will never go out of style.

I have the larger 62mm style, you can shop them, here.
