Trendy Office Outfits.

Hi ! So since starting a full time job, one of my biggest challenges was finding out what to wear every single day. When I used to serve, I had a uniform and it was so easy and effortless to not think about clothes. Now that I’ve been in an office setting for about a year I’ve mastered taking basic pieces and mixing and matching them for everyday outfits.

Every office is different, mine is business casual. This means jeans are okay, open toed shoes, etc. Some days we have business attire required, which is fine since I have a fair amount of dress pants/blazers/flats that I can incorporate into my outfits to dress them up more.

My hair was in a slicked back pony tail, which I think is very appropriate for work, as long as it’s clean. I’ll style my hair like this, down, or in a bun. Whatever you do, please don’t wear a messy bun to a corporate setting job. I wear “intentionally messy” messy buns, if that makes sense. You could be wearing the most professional outfit, and if your hair is thrown up, people will definitely notice. Your hair could take you 2 minutes to style (me), but at least try to make it look like you spent a decent amount of time on it.

I’ve listed five typical outfits that I’d wear in a work week. This is definitely a “part one” of many posts on casual business/business attire since a handful of you said you needed help with this! I was battling 90 degree weather, a self timer and the sun setting so bear with me here.

Enjoy xx

Top: H&M  Belt & Jeans: Banana Republic similar, here

 Heels: Chinese Laundry similar, here

Get a white button down. This one is a silky material, but you can put this with almost anything. It’s light and comfortable and professional. You could do a dark denim here, these jeans are just really comfortable, and with the belt I thought it looked clean enough for work. I paired these with black pointed heels.FullSizeRender 6.jpg

Shirt: H&M Pants: H&M  Flats: Karl Lagerfeld Paris similar, here

I obviously wouldn’t wear the same shirt on Tuesday as Monday, but I wanted to show you guys how easy it is to switch up outfits. I changed the pants to high waisted skinnys and paired it with a flat for a completely different look.

Dress: Topshop similar (and on sale!) here  Shoes: Anne Klein (on sale for $35) here

Dresses are so easy. I like to wear them while it’s still warm here in Michigan. This one is from Topshop, it’s not too tight or form fitting which is nice. Since I’m taller, everything looks super short on me, but this is the perfect length without looking frumpy. The shoes are a neutral mule with a thick comfortable heel. For Fall you could do a loose cardigan over this with booties, or even a blazer for a more put together look.

Blazer: H&M mine is old, here is a cuter one  Shirt: Hinge

Belt & Pants: Banana Republic similar jeans, here  Shoes: Anne Klein

These jeans are basically the same as the one’s from Monday but skinny with frayed ends. The colors are neutral but still young, modern and professional. The jeans are so stretchy and comfortable so I don’t feel restricted while sitting at my desk all day or running around to meetings. The blazer was affordable and this type of green is one of the few colors I wear, I can put this with anything.

Button Up: Pull & Bear Tank: Hinge

Pants: Leith Mules: Adrienne Vittadini, on sale for $50, here

This is my favorite outfit. I wear these high waisted pants all the time, they’re so comfortable and still professional. It’s so easy to tuck different shirts in and go. I usually do a plain v-neck or tighter long sleeve shirt. The mules paired with it are just fun while still being work appropriate.

You can change these looks according to how professional/casual your office is, switch out the jean button up on Friday for a blazer, or the open toed mules for a closed toe, more refined heel. The watch I’m wearing is Daniel Wellington and the necklace is fossil. I usually don’t wear to much jewelry, in a typical week I would maybe switch up my necklace to something silver or change out my watch. Tip: always wear a watch to work, it just keeps up with that young professional vibe~~

I hope this helps, let me know what office looks you guys would like to see more of!
