My Go-To Makeup Products.

I don’t typically wear a ton of makeup, but I definitely am always leaving the house with something on my face. I have a handful of products that I constantly am buying because I cannot live without them. These change a little bit depending on the seasons, my skin is very dry so these are just the products that work for me. They’re a mix of drugstore and high end products, and they will all be linked below! Enjoy xx.

NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator. This is one of the best things I’ve ever purchased. I mix a squeeze of this into my moisturizer and put it all over my face and it gives such a subtle glow underneath my makeup. I usually only do this when I’m tan in the Summer and want a really nice dewy look. You can also use this like a normal highlighter on your cheeks, lids, cupid’s bow or to highlight the brow. Mine is in the color Gleam, but there are four available shades, and it’s only $7.50 which is probably my favorite part.

Too Faced Hangover Primer. Sometimes if i’m lazy I will use this as a primer and a moisturizer because it is so hydrating. Normally, however, I will use this on my T zone after I apply my moisturizer. It primes my skin for my makeup perfectly and keeps my makeup in place all day. This primer is also silicone free, which is a huge plus for your skin. A lot of products include silicone to give them a very smooth, silky texture. This ingredient actually clogs your pores and can be detrimental to your skin. I love using this after a long night, it really wakes my skin up and makes it feel so soft, the coconut smell is just another added bonus.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. As I’ve said before, my skin is super dry so whenever I’m looking for new makeup, my dryness is the number one thing on my mind. This product hits all of the major points: Lightweight, SPF 30, hydrating and coverage. I only put a very small amount on in areas that I think need to be covered but you can definitely build this product up if you like more full coverage. I find that blending it out with a beauty blender is the best way to distribute the product. I’ve tried a brush and also with my fingers, both just don’t seem to move the makeup on my face as seamlessly. Mine is in the color St. Moritz, but there are 10 other shades to choose from. At $45.00 it does break my bank a little bit, but it makes such a difference on my skin it’s definitely worth it to me. I’ve yet to find a drugstore dupe that works just as well.

Clinique Chubby Stick (in contour & in highlight). Let me tell you, these are the best cream contour and highlight duo in the GAME. I swipe the contour stick all over my face and blend it out with a beauty blender, it’s so easy to blend and so creamy. It bronzes up my face perfectly and looks so much more natural than other contour products I’ve used. Same goes for the highlight stick, so creamy and pigmented. These are so lightweight and natural I can even wear them on bare skin without foundation. Not gonna lie, the name freaks me out a little bit but MAN I LOVE THESE CHUBBY STICKS!!!

Smashbox Contour Palette. After my foundation, I use this palette. It comes with a contour shade, a bronze and a highlight. They’re all matte which I think looks really nice on the skin. I use the highlight shade mostly just to set my under eye, nose area or my smile lines. I’ll mix the contour and bronze shades on a Real Techniques Powder Brush. and set my cream contour. I love that there is a cool and a warm shade of brown in this palette. The fact that it’s matte has me reaching for it almost everyday. I’ll usually take the cool contour shade and swipe it over my lids for an easy eye shadow too.

Lorac Pro Fiber Mascara. This is one of the best mascara’s I’ve used. It is so buildable and does not make my lashes clumpy but still gives tremendous length. After curling my lashes I’ll apply a few coats of this and I swear sometimes it looks like I’m wearing fake lashes. Another thing I love about this mascara is how easy it comes off. I don’t have to scrub my eyes to remove it, it comes off with one swipe of makeup remover. Another bonus is it does not flake throughout the day and leave you with black speckles all over your eyes. You just need this mascara okay?

Carli Bybel Palette. I don’t think this is available anymore, but she does have her deluxe palette which is the original, but even more amazing. The price of these palettes are insane considering how much product is included and the quality is so awesome. The original was $14.50 and the deluxe is $22.50 for 21 eyeshadow and highlight colors……. Usually a single high end eyeshadow is $12-$18, and she is giving us 21?!  I’m usually reaching for the four highlighters in this palette everyday. I like to mix them depending on how tan I am, but the price is just so great, you can’t not have this palette.

Like I said, I don’t wear a ton of makeup on normal days but these are definitely my go-to items that make my skin look awesome. If any of you guys have tried these products I’d like to know what you think of them!
